Cristo Malviaje was deported from Canada in 2011 and found himself living in a condemned out-building on his folks' property in the middle of nowhere in Washington state. Around the same time, the Fukushima nuclear disaster prompted Jorge Verde and his family to relocate from Tokyo back to his folks' place in WA as well. Needless to say, they were kinda bummed out so they decided to make some Doom Reggae. Cristo and Señor Malhecho had started Venganza De Cochino many years prior, making the anthemic title track while working under the table as "illegal" immigrants painting houses in Vancouver, BC. Cristo made a couple other crusty scum dubs later on in his spare time, but it was this reunion with Jorge under these sudden and unforeseen circumstances along with a promise from a small label out of Denmark to put a VDC album out on vinyl that solidified the quest to make the burliest reggae and sludgiest dub in the world. So, with a couple of lengthy taped-up extension cords and multiple space heaters the album got made that winter, but the label pulled out when the dude lost his day job (or something to that effect) -- so on the shelf it went. Until now. So put your tape deck back in your low rider, grab one of these gnarly dubbed out cassettes and doom up your hood!!
